A very worthwhile task, as foliage is the true star when it comes to interest in the garden. Thanks for joining in this month, Scott. I adore your hostas and especially that stunning Hakonechloa. It’s the plant I’d most love to grow from cooler regions — so beautiful, and such a great groundcover. I shall admire from afar.

Scott these are stunning. I LOVE foliage and really believe that if we design with foliage before flower we get the best gardens ever. My favorite Heuchare is ‘Obsinian’. Have you tried Mukdenia? Great foliage plant! Thanks for this post.

Hi Monique, Thank you so much, a very fine compliment coming from you! Obsidian is a great Heuchera, and no I haven’t used Mukdenia yet. Funny you should ask though, I just showed it to a client for a project we will be starting soon. Can’t wait to start using it.
