  1. Love how this plant blankets the rich woodland floor. This plant is a native American headache remedy. Mixed with feverfew and you can calm a migraine!

I have lots of places where it is welcome but I try to pull it out of superior ground covers such as Mitchella repens and Gaultheria procumbens which also grows at the border of my woods & gardens. It’s tough keeping my mature woodlands out of my garden. Acorns, maple samaras, witch hazel, beech, & pine seedlings, etc. If my woods could speak it would say “I was here first. Keep your sissy plants out. They have no chance anyway.” Maybe it is tilting at windmills after all.
