  1. Miscanthus don’t flower for us here in Alaska (or grow that well for that matter). They are such great structure plants for the winter garden. Unfortunately, mine is under a few feet of snow at the moment.

    1. That may be a blessing in disguise, Christine, as Miscanthus is starting to show up on some invasive lists. In colder climates the growing season isn’t long enough for it to flower and set seed. We are beginning to use native grasses more and more, but love the miscanthus, and as you stated, great structure. Thanks for the comments! Scott
