Ms. Stein resides in my garden, also. She very consideratly does not shoot out the many flower stalks of her common cousins. While her keeper enjoys lamb’s ear flowers, she also enjoys the constant beauty and little care of Ms. Stein.
I agree Joene, the flowers of the other Stachys are amazing. There’s just something about the soft texture, ability to work with so many other perennials, and her simple nature without the blossom, that makes ‘Helen von Stein’ a joy to work with.
