  1. You tree looks beautiful – are there any disease issues yet with horse chestnut in the US? I’ve seen so many badly diseased trees through Europe and the UK. Terrible shame, when so many were planted to replace the elms that had themselves succumbed to Dutch elm disease.

    • Yes, an Leaf Blotch and Anthracnose are a problem here in our part of the US. This tree’s leaves suffer from Leaf Blotch each year. Not serious to the tree, it’s foliage is not much too look at in late summer. But each spring it comes back and blooms beautifully!
