Gross. An attempt at pollarding gone wrong?
Great question Jocelyn. I haven’t been able to figure out the reasoning behind it.
How bad would it be if we left them alone? I often wonder if it is necessary as well. Happy WW!
Not bad at all! They would look better with a more natural looking head. But then, we already know that!

Yes, maybe then they might be acceptable Christine, but not preferable. I’m just not a big fan of this type of pruning.
